During promotional activities, Jyotika discussed what it’s like to share a home with another superstar during an interview with Screen.
Responding to a question inspired by the title of her Netflix project, she was asked if she and her husband take their “dabbas” when leaving for shoots.
With a hint of humor, Jyotika explained, “I suppose we leave our superstardom at the door when we come home. Here, we are simply parents to our kids. The focus is definitely on our children and what goes into their school dabbas each morning.”
“One dabba leaves early at 6 o’clock for school with him, while the younger one’s food goes at lunchtime at 12. The conversations revolve around what they are eating and how we pack their meals. So, yes, at home, we are parents, and superstardom stays outside,” Jyotika shared.
Jyotika is renowned for her performances in films such as Ponmagal Vandhal, Seetha Kalyanam, 36 Vayadhinile, Mozhi, Kaakha Kaakha, Sillunu Oru Kadhal, and Pachchakili Muthucharamnd, among many others. She co-runs the production company 2D Entertainment with her husband Suriya.
