Mumbai:
A 14-year-old student from a municipal school passed away after experiencing a heart attack while visiting a popular theme park during a trip with fellow students in Maharashtra’s Raigad district, according to police reports on Wednesday.
The tragedy unfolded on Tuesday when pupils from a Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation-run school in Ghansoli were on an educational outing to Imagicaa Theme Park in Khopoli, a police official stated.
During the trip, an eighth-grade student named Ayush Dharmendra Singh began to feel unwell, sat down on a bench, and then suddenly collapsed, the official noted.
Efforts to save the student were made as he was quickly taken to the primary health centre within the park with assistance from the park’s staff and his teachers. He was subsequently transported to a private hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival, the official added.
A post-mortem examination was carried out with a government medical officer present, confirming that the cause of death was a heart attack, the police official explained.
