Vicky Kaushal’s Film Continues to Gain Momentum

Vicky Kaushal’s historical drama “Chhaava” continues to perform well at the box office, crossing Rs 350 crore with a total collection of Rs 363.25 crore by its 12th day. The film, directed by Laxman Utekar, portrays Kaushal as Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna, and Diana Penty. On its second Tuesday, it recorded a 23.74% occupancy rate in Hindi markets. Kaushal shared a heartfelt Instagram video highlighting emotional fan reactions, including a young boy crying after the film. “Chhaava” is adapted from Shivaji Sawant’s Marathi novel and is produced by Dinesh Vijan.

Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava continues to thrive at the box office, having surpassed the Rs 350 crore milestone.

On Day 12 (February 25), Chhaava garnered Rs 18 crore at the box office, according to a report from Sacnilk. This brings the film’s total earnings to Rs 363.25 crore. Furthermore, Chhaava recorded an occupancy rate of 23.74% in the Hindi market on its second Tuesday, as noted in the report.

Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava features Vicky Kaushal as the courageous Maratha king Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, with Rashmika Mandanna playing his wife, Maharani Yesubai. Akshaye Khanna stars as Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb, while Diana Penty portrays Aurangzeb’s daughter Shehzadi Zinat-un-Nissa Begum. Ashutosh Rana takes on the role of Sarsenapati Hambirao Mohite, and Divya Dutta appears as Soyarabai.

The film is produced by Dinesh Vijan under the Maddock Films banner.

Recently, Vicky Kaushal shared an emotional video on Instagram, highlighting the incredible response Chhaava has received from audiences. The video features a young fan, visibly moved after watching the film, who placed a hand on his chest and chanted the name of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.

Vicky Kaushal’s heartfelt message read, “Hamari sabse badi kamai. (Our greatest earning). Proud of you beta (son)… I wish I could give you a hug. Thank you all for your love and emotions. We aimed for Shambhu Raaje’s story to reach every home around the world… and witnessing that is our greatest triumph.”

Earlier this month, Rashmika Mandanna praised her Chhaava co-star Vicky Kaushal during an interaction with Gulf News, stating, “With Vicky, every day on set, I would think, ‘This guy is amazing.’ It is rare to find someone like him, and I am truly grateful to work alongside him.”

Chhaava is based on the Marathi novel Chhava by Shivaji Sawant.
